Form design
Aug 30, 2014 05:45:59 PM by Lybster

I've downloaded the free version to have a play. Installed in a W7 VM.

Overall it seems quite good but the visual aspects of form design are disappointing. Each time I clicked on the component palette the form disappeared showing the code view and then came back. Dragging components around on the form results in a "tail" of images which is quite disorienting.

Are these problems present the paid for versions or simply something to be improved in the future?

All the issues are solved in the paid version. The main target of paid plugins is to improve form design experience. Right now I'm working on features matrix PDF for plugins. For now I recommend video - there you can see all features for each plugin.

I've downloaded and watched the video (I had to download because it kept stopping to get the next bit). Its only partly helpful. I appreciate that English is probably not your first language but some commentary as to what we are watching would have been useful. I was just guessing most of the time.

Are you planning an alignment toolbar? This is one of the more useful enhancements I've found in delphi.

You can try anchor editor - "View -> Anchor Editor" for controls :) (Anchor editing quality is significantly improved in Sparta Professional).

Hi I have the same problem. It's not good, when you say, this BUG is fixed only in paid version. This bug is very annoying and makes whole FreeSparta useless. It's all because form window is not docked as it should be. That's why form window hides under IDE window everytime I click anything in IDE. So how am I suppose to create anything in it? If the free version has bugs, how do you want to make anyone pay for full version? You should change your approach to your users.
